Just got my xkey 25 today. Needed to connect the micro USB cable to a 30 pin camera connection kit and into a ’30 pin to lightning’ adapter and then into my iPad. PLEASE! Please somebody tell me there is a better solution that doesn’t involve so many potential (and probable) failure points? Best would be a dedicated cable that was lightning on one end and micro USB on the other. Is there such a thing?
This is only an issue when I am in the mood to create in the easy chair, since the rest of the time I’ve got a solid interface with USB MIDI, but still… this current configuration is ridiculous and probably bad for my iPad’s import socket!

Are you talking about Xkey USB version? If your iPad has lightning adapter, you do not need 30 pin adapter, please check the link below:
