ParticipantDoes the Widi Bud work with other Bluetooth midi devices such as the Yamaha MD-BT 01 or the mi.1 by Quicco Sound in Windows 10?
Thanks

KeymasterDear Lakec, the origianl firmware had some issues with Mi.1 and Yamaha, but we updated a new firmware and we are testing it now, hopefully we can release it in about 1 week, then they will work together perfectly.

KeymasterHi Lakec, we are sure the new firmware works with Mi.1 well, we are testing it to see whether there is any small bug, then we will release the new version around next week.

Sorry, we are still waiting for the test result from more testers, so far everything is good.
If you cannot wait, you can try our beta firmware too, you need a special WIDI PLUS version to update your WIDI BUD, please download it below:
> Widiplus for Windows that allows to program beta fw

After we release the new firmware, please go back to use the normal WIDI PLUS version which you can download from our website.
Please let me know if you find any problem. Thanks!August 17, 2016 at 5:37 pm #28146lakec

ParticipantI am trying out the beta version. The second I begin to send just a little bit of cc#11 messages (expression), WIDI Bud chokes and there is severe delay.

ParticipantI might add that the WIDI Bud pairs just fine with my mi.1, and the mi.1 has no problem dealing with lots of midi data when it is connected to my iPad. Also no problem when the mi.1 is connected to my Windows PC through the iPad using an IOS app. By the way, I am using Windows 10 Surface Pro.

KeymasterHi Lakec,
Which device you used to send CC#11 to WIDI BUD? I tried WIDI BUD with Xkey Air 25 and send a lot of CC#11 or pitchbend (more data than CC), it worked fine without any delay. I am using Windows 8.1.August 20, 2016 at 11:00 am #28153lakec
ParticipantHi Zhao,
I was using the Korg Microkey Arranger as the controller and the mi.1 Are you doing your test with the mi.1? See that was my orgignal quesiton if the Widi Bud works with other Bluetooth midi devices such as the mi.1 I found out that I don’t have to use cc#11 messages to cause severe latency or even hanging notes, just playing notes will do that. . The mi.1 works great with the iPad, and even when a PC receives midi from the mi.1 through the iPad. I am using Windows 10 Anniversary update and MS Surface Pro. Later, I will try on a differnt PC. -
