So in order to have a wider range with my Xkey 25, I thought; why not assign one of the MIDI channle’s octves to be one octave apart from the other? that way I have for example C4,D4,E4,F4,G4,A4,B4,-C6,D6 and so on. And I could always use the option to swiftly switch back to the normal, consecutive octave setting swiftly with keyboard commands.
The problem I have run into was that apparently XkeyPlus saves each key’s note assignment globally, across all channels. That is even though I had had the “Global MIDI Channel” checked-off. Is this the way it’s supposed to work? if so, can anyone think of a way to make it work?
Hi Aviel, if you checked-off “Global MIDI Channel” , each key can assign with its own channel.
