GuestSee my first xkey37 ready for stage use. Power bank can last for 5 hours, extended midi output to lower part, cut away un-use socket so that no bad contact during performance.

GuestHi Zhao,
Happy New Year 2016!
Any message from your side, I just install a midi-man usb interface to capture the output data from xkey’s midi socket, more clear about the problem, Xkey sent out a correct program change code follow another program change code which depend on the velocity, if I press softer I will get a program 40-60, if I press harder, then I get a program 127(Gunshot). see the picture: (This is a new open box xkey).

KeymasterHi Chua Ah Kiang,
Happy New Year!
Yes, we tested the Xkey37 Xcable MIDI OUT and reproduce this problem finally. The USB MIDI has no problem. Our CTO will fix this problem in new firmware, I will let you know when it is finished.
Sorry for this problem, and thanks for helping us to investigate.

GuestOk! good news, now 4 keyboards are ready for live perform.
I am so lucky that I can find 2 types of portable keyboard still support midi-out, xkey 37 and ikey pro, but ikey never have program change buttom at all, so I will use xkey for string section and ikey for woodwinds section.
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Zhao,
I’m glad that I found this forum yesterday.
I bought a CME product (CME-UF80 Classic) 4 weeks ago and unfortunately It has a similar problem.
I try to use this midi keyboard with my Roland Sound Module (Roland XV-2020) and when I change the program to (for example) 3 on the keyboard, the Module changes the program to 6 (and 8 instead of 4, and 10 instead of 5, and 14 instead of 6, and so on…)I had a red CME-UF8 keyboard before that and it was working well with this module.
I attached a picture about the midi signals.
The actual firmware version is UF8 2.01 and I tried to reset the keyboard.
Please help me!
Thanks

ParticipantI found the user manual of the Roland XV-2020 here and there is an interesting part of it.
It presents the similar that I wrote yesterday (See the No. and the PC columns). The question is what is the difference between the 2 models’ (UF80 Classic and the old UF8) default settings.March 25, 2016 at 12:55 pm #27946ZsoltiD
ParticipantThe sollution is the following (based on the page 40 of the XV manual documentation): I usually use the User bank so when I would like to change a Program number, first of all I have to set my LSB and MSB number. In case of User Bank MSB is 87 and the LSB is 00. After that I can change the Program properly.
I reckon the old UF8 keyboard did not send MSB and LSB midi signals automatically and because of that it did not cause problem.
Is it possible to disable the MSB and LSB midi signals sending?

ParticipantHi,ZsoltiD
I’m sorry, it is impossible to disable the MSB and LSB midi data sending.
Program Change

Rotate the data dial to find the voice# them press the【ENTER】button the send the MIDI data, or press the【EXIT】button to cancel the operation. If you have any furture problem, you can contact me by [email protected].
