Tagged: MIDI through USB XPort DAW
However, it appears the CME XKey37 does NOT do MIDI through; is this the case?
I have a DAW (Reaper) on Windows 10 (up to date driver for USB audio). The DAW accepts CME XKey37 MIDI-in via the USB just fine. The CME XKey37 XPort is connected to the MIDI-in of a synthesizer (and this works just fine). The DAW recognizes the XKey37 as a MIDI output (and MIDI input device). I would like to send MIDI from my DAW to the CME XKey37 via the USB cable, and have those MIDI continue through the XKey37 via the XPort XCable to the MIDI-in of the synthesizer. This does not work for me now. Is this by design for the CME XKey 37?
(As I am lacking a USB to MIDI adaptor, I have yet to test the connection direct from the DAW->USB->MIDI-in-synth. I will buy a cable and do this test, and let you know. But in meantime please help if you can).

YES INDEED!!! thanks. (I overlooked the download for the XKey+. It was not obvious from the website what it did. Your message clarified)
