Hi, I just unboxed my new Xkey Air 37 and updated the firmware — it’s beautiful, by the way. I followed the instructions for connecting the keyboard to my iMac using the Audio MIDI Setup app. When I double-click the big Bluetooth icon, I get the following message:
“MIDI over Bluetooth is not supported
This Mac does not support Bluetooth LE.”
I don’t see anything in your specs or product documentation specifying hardware requirements. I own an iMac from 2010 running the latest version of Yosemite. Did I just miss the information somewhere or is there a particular minimum model of computer I need to have to use this wirelessly?
Thanks,
Steve
Hi Steve,
Thanks for your message.
In Indiegogo campaign, we mentioned iMac from 2012 has Bluetooth 4.0 hardware feature inside. But it is not a big problem, you can buy any Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter from the market to add this feature in your iMac. Hope you enjoy your Xkey Air 37 soon.
