A lot of my furniture I bought used. A few pieces are antiques, but most came from US manufacturers of the period 1950–1990. That was a time when a lot of good quality furniture was made and sold at reasonable prices. It has held up well, and now can be found on eBay, Etsy, and at local used furniture stores. The only downside is that getting it delivered can be pricey, which is why buying from the local used furniture and antiques shops is best.
