ParticipantHi Guys,
I have a WIDI Bud and have managed to connect it to a wide range of other bluetooth MIDI devices. Great! However, after experimenting with the “default” device option, I suddenly cannot make a stable connection to my preferred device. Both the Bud and the other device work well with all other connections, they just don’t work together anymore (they briefly connect and then immediately disconnect again). I know that is really strange and I have tried all tricks in the book, but nothing works. It is really frustrating and I can now only think of a complete reset of both devices as a solution. I have tried reinstalling the firmware on the Bud, but it seems to still remember the devices it was paired with, which is normally a good thing, but I am speculating that a complete reset of the Bud is necessary in my case. Is there a way of doing this? Do you have any other ideas?
Best regards,
VRN

KeymasterDear VRN, I think you can cancel the “default” or set a new “default” to another device, did you try?

ParticipantHi Gentlemen,
Got informed by CityM that this bud should solve my concern so i went down to get a Widi with full of hopes and rushed home for a try. I installed the WIDI Plus software and update the firmware through my Windows PC.
Widi can’t make a stable connection with my midi bluetooth controller and just silently drop off after few seconds. Initially i thought it was issue of my “R” keys controller then i tried up with “A” pad samplier same issue encountered. Never give out so i tried with friend’s MacOS also same issue.
Please if CME/Widi can give me a solution to hock my controller with my windows based DAW.
Super thank you.

KeymasterHi NP Lim, please try to switch off the computer bluetooh connection and connect widiBud, before you start your software.

ParticipantHi Mr. Zhao,
Thank you for your reply on other post. Now the reply on the original post disappeared therefore i have to switch to this post.
I went down to CityMusic today and tested the WidiBud together with their helpful staff as we do really hope that things are working.
Below was discovered when WidiBub is on PC. we managed to test on two Windows PCs with same result.
On Akai LPD8 wireless.
WIDIPLUS shown ble midi found, AKAI model shown in the list, we select it and connect. Connected. WE MUST THIS TIME CLOSE THE WIDIPLUS APPLICATION once it is connected with a device. Then launch DAW, setting up MIDI input output using WIDIBUD. Buff.. everything seems work fine. Signal came in. However after 5 minutes playing with sampling pad. Akai drop out of WidiBud. Need to restart the whole process. On ROLAND Go:Piano.
WIDIPLUS shown ble midi found, ROALND model NO shown in the list, but when we turn on and off ROLAND we can see the WIDIPlus found and drop 1 midi device. I tried before with WIDIBud Firmware ver. 1.1 a device was detected but the list shown on Model column was blank. No midi signal working at all. Please if you could assist further.
Thank you.

KeymasterDear NP Lim, thanks for your test and information. I will ask our CTO to contact you directly and find out the problem. We may need to find a way to test whether Akai and Roland sent some none standard message during communication.
