Love my new Xkey Air and it works fine in Logic Pro X using the built in software instruments, but last night I got around to testing it with East West Play plug-in using the Symphonic Orchestra library and the notes don’t play correctly when I play the keys on the Xkey. The notes have a very short attack and basically no release. I tried turning off aftertouch in Xkey Plus and that made the playback sound a little better but it still sounds way off.
What setting in Xkey Plus must I change in order to get proper playback in the Easy West Play instrument?
Sorry. I posted in haste. This was just another incompatible aftertouch issue. I turned that off in Xkey Plus and it works great now.
But I was confused earlier because I already did try turning that off before asking my question, but noticed that there was no sound when playing the keys. It turns out there is actually a slight delay for the setting to take effect before Logic Pro was recognizing the new midi data. I waited about 4-5 seconds after turning off Aftertouch and Xkey Air works perfectly and the samples now play as intended.
Good to know. thanks!
