Hi, I just got the XKey37 and now I am trying to set it up with reason 9.5. Reason cannot auto-detect it via the USB cable input. How do I make this connection to use XKey37 as a midi input on reason 9.5?
Hi xBrightYve,
I am not very familiar with Reason 9.5, but I think you can just select standard MIDI controller driver setup in Reason for Xkey, you do not need to load any special template for it.
In addition, please make sure when you plug Xkey37 with your computer, the red LED on rear panel will keep lighting, that means the computer detect Xkey37 as the USB MIDI controller successfully.
That is what I thought initially. However I do not know how to set it up. I use to have an akai pro mini that reason would recognize. However, Xkey37 is not on the list. The website says that reason would be compatible.
Hi xBrightYve, ok we will download Reason and try, then let you know how to use them. In the meantime, you can check with Reason people too, they used Xkey37 for their new release before.
I figured it out. I just added the only model for CME which is the CME-UF series for the control surface in preferences. Reason detected the Xkey37 this way. Thanks for the help.
Ok, great! Enjoy. 🙂
